Favorite Destination Businessman, China U.S. Seize Throne

EARLIER, the United States become the leading destination for businesspeople. But now, the throne was usurped by China.

A report from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), based in Virginia, United States, said the tourism business in China will increase reach USD245 in 2013. Furthermore, the organization also predicted the tourism business in China will increase by 17 percent this year and 21 percent in 2013.

Meanwhile, the tourism business in the United States is estimated to be less than that, the USD233 billion in 2013.

"We predicted the significant increase in business travel of Chinese citizens during the next two years, in which at least two-thirds of the real growth rate will be increased compared to the prices tourist trip," said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA Executive Director, as quoted by CNNGo, Thursday (24/05/2012).

In fact, the four largest airports in China, namely Beijing, Pudong (Shanghai), Guangzhou, and Hongqiao (Shanghai) are now able to accommodate tourists doubled. More than 100 new hotels are also planned.

GBTA report highlighted that China's influence increased in the global travel and business. Such as COMAC, China's largest aircraft, recently decided to pick Paris, not London, as its new branch office in Europe.

"I've flown with China domestic flight for the last few years and I have found that the airlines and airport services in China is much better than before," said Tammy Lee, the director of a real estate company in Seoul.

"Foods that presents a lot better, and I think the airline services in China is much better than American airlines. It also applies to the hotel, so book a hotel in Beijing and Shanghai is sometimes very difficult," he concluded.
