When smooth, the construction of Titanic II will be conducted in China. Clive Palmer first announced ambitious plans to build these ships in April. He said overwhelmed by the response of approximately 20,000 people who signed up to be on its maiden voyage.
"Titanic II will be shipping routes transantlantik between Britain and the United States (such as the Titanic's first-red lines)," he said, as quoted by the SMH, Wednesday (20/06/2012). "This is a magnificent ship that is being built to commemorate the heroic men who served on the Titanic of its predecessor," he added.
One of Palmer's company, Blue Star Line, has established design criteria to make the Titanic Titanic II as closely as possible to the original. Scheduled for construction after 2016.
Titanic II will have 840 rooms and nine deck. The difference with the Titanic predecessors is the fuel chamber is larger, there is a diesel generator, and the ability to maneuver better.
